DOH and NGO LAUNCH CAMPAIGN FOR 100% SMOKE-FREE PHILIPPINES

With new funding from the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union), the Department of Health (DoH) and Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Alliance Philippines (FCAP) will announce new programs to make the Philippines 100% smoke-free.
 
DoH and World Lung Foundation will also announce new research that shows the need for policies to protect people from second-hand smoke.
 
A senior representative from Bloomberg Philanthropies, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s foundation, will speak about the scale of the tobacco crisis around the world and what progress is already being made.
