 Working with FCAP as a law intern for more than a year has been worth it – the time I spent attending meetings, manning booths, handling campaigns, researching and writing for our cause.

 While it is a struggle for me to pursue my law education while trying to earn a living, it is all the more rewarding for me to be able to do something that is close to my heart in these circumstances. The experience has taught me lessons that I would like to share. Here’s my positive list of the lessons I gained while doing simple advocacy and legal work in the past months:

The recent exposure trip to Candon City, Ilocos Sur served a dual purpose, even if such was perhaps not the intention. On the one hand, it filled in some of the knowledge gaps as regards tobacco farming. At the same time, it proved to be an eye-opening experience to the realities and challenges faced by tobacco farmers.
